Paula Wachtel’s journey in the world of waxing began in 1998 when she enrolled at the Christine Valmy school in Albany, New York. Completing her course in just 10 weeks, Paula quickly launched her career in a spa setting, where she discovered her passion for providing exceptional waxing services. At that time, Brazilian waxing was a rarity in upstate New York, but the growing demand inspired Paula to further her education. She traveled out of state to attend specialized classes, mastering the Brazilian wax and bringing this sought-after service to her clients.
After 10 years of honing her skills in an upscale spa, Paula took the entrepreneurial leap and co-founded The Image Studio Salon in 2007 with her best friend. Over the next 18 years, they successfully built and operated the salon, during which time Paula’s experience as a business owner and waxing specialist flourished. It was also during this period that Paula had the opportunity to train her daughter Jackie, guiding her through obtaining her New York State license and helping her grow a loyal clientele.
Fast forward to 2024, Paula and Jackie have now opened their very own waxing suite. They are excited to continue delivering top-tier customer care and exceptional waxing services in a happy, inviting environment.
